Diocesan Information Management
Mailroom: Address Certification

Think you're paying too much for postage and mailing expenses? The Mailroom: Address Certification Module gives arch/dioceses, parishes, schools, and other diocesan organizations immediate savings on mailing costs by certifying addresses with the United States Postal Service (USPS). Mailroom: Address Certification will verify mailing addresses with the same national database used by the USPS. It identifies any invalid addresses and triggers minor changes needed for USPS compliance, such as Dr for Drive or Ave for Avenue. Now administrators can put these minor changes into their census records with just a click of a button, updating hundreds or even thousands of addresses in just a matter of minutes.

bulk mailIn addition, CASS-certified addresses qualify for bulk mailing — the most economical postage rates available from USPS — to even further reduce mailing expenses for parishes, diocese, and other organizations. Bulk mailings can be prepared directly from the ParishSOFT Church Management Software and come complete with sorting, bar coding, and other required USPS labels and forms to give you even more significant savings.

For example, a letter mailed to 2,000 families in a parish could qualify for the following rates:

Standard 1st Class letter with stamps: 37¢ x 2,000 = $740
Standard letter, sample Bulk Mail nonprofit rate: 19¢ x 2,000 = $380
YOU SAVE $360!
