Ann Arbor, MI—ParishSOFT LLC announced today that the Archdiocese of Santa Fe is implementing ParishSOFT as its new church management software.
ParishSOFT will replace the Archdiocese’s older-generation database management program with a high-powered suite of products that will help streamline diocesan-wide records for Annual Appeals, Safe Environment, sacramental data and overall management reporting. Through ParishSOFT, all diocesan and parish information will be combined into one common database, making it possible for parishes to update family and staff information just once to keep reliable, current records at every desktop in the diocese.
The common database remedies an issue prevalent in many older, established dioceses, including the Archdiocese of Santa Fe, in which records managed in different ways using disparate systems at the parishes have made gathering data at the diocesan level time consuming, expensive, and not always reliable for strategic decision-making and communication with diocesan families.
ParishSOFT is currently working with the Archdiocese of Santa Fe to accomplish standard and advanced data conversion, system implementation, and comprehensive product training for diocesan and parish staff. Once implemented, ParishSOFT will provide staff in the Archdiocese with reliable information that they can use to connect with each other and with families across the Archdiocese.
Mike Cusick, ParishSOFT Vice President of Marketing and Sales, said, “We are honored and excited to be working with one of the oldest archdioceses in the country, bringing them a greater offering of church management technology and services. We look forward to supporting their people—at both the diocesan and parish levels—with unparalleled software and technical assistance.”
About the Archdiocese of Santa Fe
The Archdiocese of Santa Fe can trace its beginnings back to 1539, when the first Franciscan missionaries arrived in what would become New Mexico. Santa Fe became a diocese in 1853 and an archdiocese in 1875. Today the administrative offices of the Archdiocese of Santa Fe are located in Albuquerque, but the liturgy center and “cathedra” or “chair” of the archbishop remains in Santa Fe. The current prelate, Archbishop Michael J. Sheehan, presides over an area of 61,142 square miles, 91 parishes and 216 active missions.
