Convenient and cost-effective Teletraining using telephone conferencing provides you and your staff with personal, hands-on training in the comfort of your own office. If you are new to ParishSOFT, it is strongly recommended that the Fundamentals course is taken prior to all other courses. Class Descriptions
ACH Electronic Giving - Setting up, enabling specific parish funds member accounts for automated transfer, transmission process, handling exceptions, posting completed transactions to member accounts.
Bannon Development Campaign Letters - Integrate Bannon letter templates with your ParishSOFT Offering & Tuition Module. Learn how to merge your ParishSOFT data directly into Bannon development campaign letters. ParishSOFT automatically examines your pledge records to determine which families receive letters. Create the reports and labels you need to complete your mailing. Participants will receive the Bannon folder of letters to copy into their Program Files\ParishSOFT directory.
End of Year Essentials - In this 60 minute course, you will gain an understanding of all year-end processing procedures which includes auditing your family data, using the end of year checklist, understanding IRS compliance rules and creating end of year statements.
End of Year Ledger and Payables - In this 60 minute course, you will gain an understanding of all year-end processing procedures which includes financial reporting requirements, budget, history and projection reporting and closing out the year.
End of Year Payroll - In this 60 minute course, you will gain an understanding of all year-end processing procedures which includes processing W-2's and 1099's efficiently, reconciling balances, reviewing changes to the 2008 tax forms and performing employee maintenance, archiving and backing up your data.
Fundamentals (Family Directory) - Overview of all ParishSOFT software solutions; setting up; family and member directory functions; reports; introduction to Time & Talent and Religious Education. Use of Word templates and mail merge.
Ledger & Payables - Fund Accounting and Accounts, Accounts, Beginning Balances, Vendor Data, Financial Transaction Entry, Financial Statements, Processes to Speed and Simplify Data Entry, Data Security and Maintenance, Web Based Services.
TOPICS:
- Setup - Chart of Accounts setup, account and vendor maintenance
- Transaction Entry - bills, deposits, check printing, voiding checks, bank reconciliation, end of month processing
- Advanced Tools - memorized transactions, contribution transfer, exporting to Excel, etc
NotifyNow - Overview of setting up the NotifyNow instant alert system including navigating the website, broadcasting an alert, setting up alert degrees and using reports.
Offering Contributions - Create, post and manage contributions; create and print reports and end of year statements
Offering Pledges - Create, post and manage pledges and capital campaigns; create and print projections and reports
Please note: Offering Contributions is a prerequisite.
Payroll - Pay Cycle Tasks, Employee Entry, Deductions and Benefits, Finance Accounts and Distributions, Direct Deposit, W-2 Processing, End of Period.
Religious Education - Set up a new school year. Session and class record maintenance and organization, including management of students and catechists in specific classes. Screen navigation, generating standard reports.
Reports: InDepth - Review of standard reports and the tools available within the software to expand your reporting capabilities. A discussion of the organization of relational databases, filtering and sorting and ParishSOFT tables will assist in custom query and report building. The ability to generate custom queries and reports will also be covered.
Please note: The Fundamentals class and a working knowledge of Microsoft Access is a prerequisite. Use of the ParishSOFT Fundamentals software for 3 months is highly recommended.
Time & Talent - Creating look up tables, managing ministry groups, using the scheduler, reports, and posting a ministry schedule to the web.
Tuition - Managing school tuition and/or religious education fees for billing, statements, posting payments, assessing late fees and reports.
Web Solutions Part One - Administering your parish web site on ParishesOnline.com; creating pages; posting pictures; uploading bulletins and more. This class will focus primarily on managing your web site.
Be sure you activate your church's website before signing up for this class.
Please note: due to the nature of this class, there is a limit of 2 participants per Parish per class.
Web Solutions Part Two - Continued instruction on administering your ParishesOnline web site with emphasis on utilizing your on-line web calendar and Facility Scheduler. This class will focus primarily on managing the web calendar.
